Well hello there.
I’m Kaylyn. I’m a lifelong midwesterner from Wisconsin who has a dorky sense of humor and loves connecting with new people. I recently moved to Minneapolis, but still enjoy spending time in my hometown in Wisconsin.
Some of my favorite things in the world are cuddling with my dog, trying new restaurants, being barefoot, hiking, a cold IPA, and decorating my home. I LOVE to travel and explore new places.
I started shooting when I was 20 years old and fell in love with the unexplainable moments I was capturing. It's more than a picture, it's your story. Laugh lines, shy smiles, raw emotion is what I crave. I want real people who aren't afraid to show their true selves.
My inspiration lies in your love story. Everything that you are together and individually. Give me you.. every beautiful, wonderful piece of you.

When I'm not shooting, I'm cuddling or adventuring with her. Chances are, your photos will be edited with her nose on my lap.
A little more about my photography.
I specialize in wedding and couple photography but I also LOVE any kind of lifestyle/journalism shoot.
I thrive on the in-between moments. As you’ll notice from my work, those photos of you being your most authentic self are what I consider my specialty. Those details of your hands intertwined with a loved ones, or bare feet walking in the dirt. Close up portraits with your smile crinkles and hair blowing in your face. This is what I love, and what I crave from all sessions.

It's all about the feelings. I thrive on the in-between, authentic photos. I will never ask you to stand a certain way or put you in a stiff pose. I want the photos to be a total reflection of you - not a re-creation of a Pinterest photo. They may not be perfect, but let’s face it, neither are we. Come to your session relaxed and ready to have fun. Don't worry! I have lots of fun prompts to get you moving and comfortable in front of the camera. I don’t want you to be afraid of me capturing you just as you are.

Kaylyn took both our engagement and wedding photos. Kaylyn is down to earth and made my husband and I feel so comfortable during both shoots. She was able to capture our personalities in a natural way that didn't feel posed. . We are thrilled with how both sets of pictures turned out. She was easy to work with and very low maintenance. It felt like just another friend at our wedding.

Senior pictures are such an exciting and memorable experience. I had seen the work Kaylyn had done in the past and it was no question for me when it came down to choosing a photographer to work with!
